The double room is huge with all the essentials as well as marble bathroom. The positives include perfect and exceptionally nice location and parking on street.
Nothing to improve upon.

Located in the historic center, next to the walls is a palace-house with an excellent location overlooking the olive groves, spacious room, our two-bed as requested, pity that the bed creaked when moving (that has easy solution), correct bathroom. Breakfast is very good (as it is a small hotel it can not have much variety). Dinner very correct and dinner on the terrace overlooking the olive groves a real wonder. Very nice and well kept common areas. Staff, little but efficient, thank Mr. Alonso for his attention and advice. Many hotels of higher categories (hesitate to book for the two stars) do not have the charm of this hotel. Very good value for money. If I return to Ubeda I will not hesitate to stay in this hotel again
From the comments I have read I touch the only bed that squeaks. You would also have to grease the closet doors (these are small things that are easy to solve). Getting to the hotel is a little complicated, but that happens in all historical centers, is the toll, but it is worth it,

hotel is very charming and very well located, next to the monumental area. Quiet and spacious room with a very good view of the valley of olive trees. bed is very comfortable and bathroom is spacious and clean
breakfast schedule from 8. 30 am to 10. 00 am, ended very early, what minimum until 10. 30 am or 11. 00 am so we did not hire him. reception staff was not very close but correct, they did not leave the reception, is also a little far from the entrance, so there is no contact or conversation with the customers, that is typical of big hotels, it is not expected in this kind of accommodation. pillow is a bit scarce and TV is small, although we didn't use it. One misses a small refrigerator. pity we couldn't have a drink on the terrace because of the bad weather.. view was great. In spite of the comments. in general the stay was very good,

I recently stayed at Las Casas Del Consul in Ubeda, Andalucia for a business trip. This hotel was chosen by my director and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience.
There was only one minor issue that I encountered during my stay.

The location is absolutely stunning, with jaw-dropping views of olive groves and distant mountains. The breakfasts were super delicious and the facilities were top-notch. The rooms, though not huge, were spotlessly clean, and the spacious bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay in this mind-blowing old town even more enjoyable.

I absolutely loved the beautiful decoration in this hotel! The inner patio was filled with lush plants and had a cozy reading area by the fireplace, perfect for relaxing on chilly evenings. The hotel's general areas were spacious and tastefully restored, giving it a luxurious charm. As a senior person, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with a tiny street outside for parking and within walking distance to the main plazas of Ubeda. It made exploring the town much more convenient for me and my family.
I would have asked for better accessibility for seniors. The children working at the hotel were very kind and helpful, but I would have appreciated if there were more handrails or ramps in certain areas to make it easier for older guests to navigate the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Las Casas Del Consul in Ubeda. Traveling with my family, our room was well set up with comfortable beds and a modern bathroom. The hotel's location is perfect, nestled in the heart of the old town with stunning views of olive groves and mountains. The back patio and pool are a real highlight, offering a peaceful oasis to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The interior patio is a hidden gem, filled with lush plants and a cozy reading area by the fireplace. We couldn't have asked for a more idyllic setting.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
